Football Selection - Round 4 v Turvey Bulldogs at Kindra Park - Sunday

Coolamon Grasshoppers senior selection team of Jamie Maddox, Connor Neyland and Mitch Robinson have named an extended first grade side for our home game clash against Turvey Park Bulldogs this Sunday in another 'double-up' senior-junior day at the Kindra Koliseum, with the side to be finalised late Sunday morning.

The Hoppers take on a Bulldogs outfit refreshed after their bye last week, and know full well that a win going into the General Bye next week will set the early part of their season up perfectly, while a loss puts them back in the pack.

With two competition games under their belt, the combinations between the players are starting to develop really well, and rather than relying on one or two, every player is stepping up at different times in the game to play a key role.

The Bulldogs have shown all season that they're prepared to take the game on no matter what the opposition dishes up to them and our boys have trained hard ready for a full four quarter hit out.

First Grade 2.10 pm

The Magoos were brilliant at times last week in their first win of the season, skipping out to a big lead early, before allowing Mango back into the game more than they'd like.  They'll be looking to increase their consistency across all four quarters and not give the Bulldogs a sniff.  The attitude on training night continues to be amazing and with pressure on for spots all over the ground, the Club is in good hands.  Coaches Shaun Bradley and Daniel Crocker had another tough meeting sorting out who to reward with selection this week, a good problem for any Club to have!  All the best to Tommy Besgrove and Steve Senior who sit out a few weeks following injuries against Mango.

Reserve Grade 12 Noon

B: Heath Petty, Jarrod Edyvean, Dyl Frame

HB: Zac Bradley, Jeremy Bradley, Campbell Fordyce

C: Will Alchin, Jack McPherson, Lach Pleming

HF: Sam Robinson, Matt Bradley, Dave Chandler

F: Lachie Owens, Liam Armstrong, Isaac Pattison

Fol: TJ Owens, Ryan Maslin, Tom Stubbs

Int: Ho Leary, Brody Guthrie, Tom Carr, Tom Heffer

In the Thirds the young Hoppers had a pretty ordinary day by their own standards last week against Mango and now take on a very strong Bulldogs outfit in a 2018 grand final re-match.  The boys will be focused on improving their talk around the footy and playing as one unit.  This is an excellent group of young men and last hit out they got a bit of a lesson that they need turn up every week if they want to set up their season.  The attitude on the track has been great this week and the coaching unit of Hayden Bradley and Max Hillier know that the boys will throw everything into the Bulldogs on our home deck.
