Football Selection v Ganmain Lions Saturday at Ganmain
An even shorter trip west than our last game this week to take on the Ganmain GGM Lions on Saturday. Coolamon Grasshoppers senior selection team of Jamie Maddox, Connor Neyland and Mitch Robinson have made two changes to the first grade side that triumphed over Leeton Crows a fortnight ago. Into the Hoppers side returns Ryan Allen and Zach Bradley who have both recovered from injury issues and especially benefited from the bye weekend.
Out of the side goes Nick Buchanan and Tom Stubbs, both players who can considered themselves unlucky, but both who will benefit from plenty of game time down a grade and readying themselves to fight for their spot once more.
The Lions are definitely up and about after a huge win over Narrandera last start and will take plenty of confidence into the clash on their home deck. A win below Coolamon, but with a superior percentage, means they’ll leapfrog the Hoppers on the ladder if they salute the judge come Saturday afternoon.
The Hoppers, meanwhile, know a win will give them some breathing distance for a top three position. Look for all the men in green to really stand up for each other this week, supporting their team mates with and without the footy and setting the tone for the second part of the season.

The Magoos are going for four on the trot against the Lions, sneaking in under the radar to sit in third spot on the ladder at the half way point of the season, but needing to keep winning to hold their spot. Only one point separated the teams earlier in the season, and the Hoppers know that the Lions will be keen for revenge at Ganmain Sportsground with plenty of vocal revellers gearing up for their reunion.
Sam Robbo has made a return this week and with the form of Jack Mason growing every game and the elder men in Chambo and Benny showing the way, the stars are starting to align for the men in green.

In the Thirds the young Hoppers have snuck into fifth spot on the ladder at the turn and know they need to keep the momentum going. The team is bolstered by the return of the G-Man and with Stibby and Bay on fire, and Sully Doyle crashing packs, a win over the Lions will help the young Hoppers launch into the second stage of the season well.
