Off to Narrandera this Saturday to take on the Eagles and Coolamon Grasshoppers senior selection team of Jamie Maddox, Connor Neyland and Mitch Robinson have made two changes to the first grade side that defeated the Griffith Swans last weekend.
Into the Hoppers side returns Shannon Charlie after a dancing incident gone wrong at the 125 Years night, as well as Mitch Stibbard following a week in the U17s. Out of the side goes Josh Buchanan and Coop McKelvie, both with hamstring tightness as a result of some extended fatigue under heavier playing conditions in recent weeks. Jamie Maddox remains out the senior side after failing to get through the warm up last weekend, with Bay Leary holding the position he filled in for at no notice after backing up from U17s.
Narrandera have had a mixed season so far. While they sit near the bottom end of the table, they have taken some decent scalps this year and will be confident of an upset on their home deck. For the Hoppers, this is a danger game following a week of high after a massive win and our best game for the season by far. The boys will need to re-group and re-focus fast if they want to continue the form that was triumphant against the Swans.

The Magoos have had a tough couple of losses in recent weeks, but still sit third on the ladder, knowing that they need to get back on the winning trail quick if they want to hold onto that crucial top three position come finals time. This week they face an Eagles side that has had five wins, but also has, at times, struggled for numbers. We can expect that shouldn’t be the case this week with their home game.

In the Thirds the young Hoppers are coming off their best win of the year last weekend and now face a winless Eagles outfit that were hammered by Gullie last game. They sit a game clear in fifth spot but need to keep winning to maintain that position for finals. On form, this is a no brainer, but the Eagles will look to step up at home and the Hoppers have lost two to the seniors and may have a few more outs pending how some pull up by game time.
